Ways to enjoy the Barossa Valley in the winter months

The Barossa Valley can provide a gorgeous getaway from the city and the hustle-bustle of day to day life. And in the winter months, it can be a beautiful place to visit with plenty to do.

Here are some ideas to get you started.

Go for a bushwalk

There are some beautiful walking tracks and bike tracks to explore in the colder months. Rug up and hit the nature trails.

Barossa Bushwalks have released new maps to help you explore the region, that can be picked up from Tanunda Information Centre.

Get the family active and outdoors this winter. It’s a great way to see the region from another angle and get fit and outdoors at the same time.

Cosy up at a winery with a fireplace

There are so many gorgeous wineries to choose from in the Barossa Valley where you can cosy up in front of the fireplace with a glass of vino in hand and a platter on the go.

Try and book ahead for your winery experiences to avoid disappointment.

Enjoy one of our firepits

Our firepits are delightfully warm and inviting and a great way to meet new friends.

The kids can toast up some marshmallows while you stay warm at various points around to park.

Holidays are all about making memories, and the firepits offer the perfect place to make those.

Get shopping

The Barossa has some fantastic shopping, from delightful locally made cheese, a visit to the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company for some sweet treats or homewares and gift shops. The options are endless.

And, you can pick up a coffee to go, and some beautiful flowers from Fleur Social which is right down the road from the park.
