Bringing your dog to the Barossa? Here’s a list of things to get up to!
Stay at BIG4 Barossa Tourist Park
Why not stay in one of our pet friendly cabins? With a fully fenced enclosed yard, including artificial turf, a kennel and a table for you to sit outside, enjoy the sunshine with your furry best friend! And if the weather isn’t great, rest assured that they are more than welcome inside the cabin to get cosy, just bring along their bed!
And don’t worry, if you’d rather bring the caravan, we are pet friendly throughout the park sites, all year round!
Head To The Local Dog Park
Got a pooch that needs to let off some steam?
Did you know, that directly opposite the entrance to BIG4 Barossa Tourist Park, is the Nuriootpa off the leash dog park?
The Nuriootpa Dog Park is a place where dog lovers can let their four-legged friends enjoy the outdoors off-leash. The Dog Park offers pedestrian gates, dog bag dispensers, and bins to clean up after your furry-friend.
Pop across the road for some off lead fun to be had!
Markets, Anyone?
Just a short drive down the road from BIG4 Barossa Tourist Park, you will stumble along the Barossa Farmers Market, held every Saturday morning.
Further along you will also find the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market, also open every Saturday morning.
At both of these markets, your fur babies are more than welcome to come along, on the outside areas of the market, just make sure they’re on a lead!

Lovers of Dogs, and Wine?
When coming to the Barossa, we know that a winery or two may be on your list. Check out Barossa Australia's resource guides for Pet Friendly Locations throughout the Barossa https://www.barossa.com/visit/visitor-centres/#resources
Here are some of our favorite pet friendly wineries below...
Levrier Wines
Now I bet when you pull up to a winery, the last thing you’d expect to see is a dog park. But that’s exactly what you’ll find here! Sit back and enjoy, knowing your little four-legged mate will also be having the time of their lives!
Robbers Dog Distillery
Elderton Wines
We love dogs (you might have seen Walter, Buzz and Duke on our socials) and we welcome your dog to sit with you in our garden area, where we have a water bowl available.
Unless your pooch is an identified service dog, they must stay outside.
Please note – TigerPuss is our winery cat and might be in the Cellar Door garden during your visit, so we do ask that dogs remain on leash.
Kies Family Wines
Kies Family Wines is a dog friendly winery in Lyndoch. The 6th generation family and staff will make you feel like you’re part of the family with knowledge and passion for the wines. Indulge in a feast in the Monkey Nut Café, then relax with a tea from Kies Teas. We love to laugh and we want people to feel comfortable and enjoy their time in our cellar door with their fury friend!
Turkey Flat Vineyards
Turkey Flat Vineyards is tucked away on the edge of Tanunda in the beautiful Barossa Valley, surrounded by historic vineyards dating back to 1847. Their charming cellar door is in a rustic bluestone building that has been lovingly restored from its previous days of the Schulz family butcher shop. Take a seat in their rustic and dog friendly courtyard and take in the vineyard views with your pup. During weekdays, Ruby and Webber (their winery dogs) will be around and would love to play with you too.
