Barossa Winterfest 

Barossa Winterfest is a celebration of all things winter in Barossa. This annual event features live music, art installations, food and wine tastings, and artisan markets. It’s a great opportunity to experience the region’s rich cultural heritage while enjoying the winter ambience.

Winter Art Trail 

The Winter Art Trail is a self-guided tour through Barossa’s art galleries and studios. Maps and guides are available at local visitor centres, and the trail includes stops at key galleries such as Barossa Regional Gallery, Wonderground Barossa, Greenock Arts Collective, and Barossa Art Gallery & Gifts. Each location offers unique winter-themed exhibitions and activities. 

 

Barossa Regional Gallery

Barossa Regional Gallery

Barossa Regional Gallery is a cultural hub in Tanunda, in the heart of the Barossa Valley. This gallery plays a vital role in promoting and celebrating the region’s artistic talents, offering diverse exhibitions, events, and educational programs. 

The current exhibition at the Barossa Regional Gallery is ‘Flourish’, from June 6 to July 29, 2024. This exhibition features works by Gilbert Dashorst, Tutti Arts Barossa, and the Barossa Valley Floral Designers Club Inc., celebrating the region’s vibrant and diverse artistic expressions. 

Additionally, from July 31 to September 1, 2024, the gallery will host Roland Weight’s ‘Fallout’ as part of the SALA 2024 Festival. Wonderground Barossa 

Wonderground Barossa is a unique and vibrant art space in Seppeltsfield. Known for its eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional artworks, the gallery offers diverse artistic expressions that reflect the region’s rich cultural heritage. The gallery is currently showcasing ‘A Series of Solo Exhibitions’ as part of SALA 2024. The main exhibition, ‘Necessary Protection’ by Kane Dyer, addresses environmental concerns through bold, abstract motifs. Additional solo exhibitions by Cathy Gray, Eleanor Noir, Deb Twining, and Jason Pevreall are also featured​ (Wonderground Barossa)​​. 

Wonderground is not just an art gallery but also a cellar door, offering a unique blend of contemporary art and local wines. Greenock Arts CollectiveGreenock Arts Collective

Greenock Arts Collective in the quaint village of Greenock showcases a mix of contemporary and traditional art. Their winter exhibition focuses on the theme of ‘Winter Reflections’, with works exploring the season’s introspective and reflective nature. The cosy gallery space provides a perfect escape from the cold. 

The gallery is known for its intimate and welcoming environment, with the layout allowing for a close and personal experience with the displayed artworks. Barossa Art Gallery & Gifts Barossa Gallery and Gifts

Barossa Art Gallery & Gifts is in the heart of Angaston and is known for its vibrant community engagement.
